This is the story of Wounded Knee
He was riding his horse from Tennessee
through Alabama into Magnolia State.
He was travelling light and until very late.

In the night he would try to get some sleep
and rest under a big old oak tree,
light up a fire and dream all night
of winning the game by gambling right

of finding a woman to travel with
of seeing the ocean and swim in it

And when she appeared he thought it was a dream
he said kick me in the knee to know you are real
Since that day they both have new names
He limps a little and she is to blame
it´s miss and mister Wounded Knee
the funniest couple I have ever seen.

They live and love somewhere in New Orleans
He still rides his horse and they make a hell of team

Travelling around until Judgement Day
